303 West Main Street is an office building which was originally built in 1975 and suffered from years of deferred maintenance and a negative management reputation. Working with the owner, Yassky Properties and the Schultz Organization, WQB provided planning, design and project management services for redesign of all public spaces, redesign of the building facade, redesign of landscape and public areas and redevelopment of mechanical systems including the elevators.

Court TV Required a new Headquarters for the New York offices as its share of the media audience rapidly enlarged. The new headquarters needed to expand to serve as a showplace and corporate image for a rapidly growing and evolving media enterprise.
The new headquarters space served multiple functions as a showplace for investors, production studios, research facilities for programming, support and executive staff coordinating facilities for live feeds and facilities for advance teleconferencing to remote cities and temporary locations as well as network affiliates. It required the integration of very public as well as very secure components as well as the integration of rapidly evolving high technology communication and production technology.

Dream Hotel Cooperate Office

WQB helped with the conversion of an existing residential building to corporate operations offices for Hampshire Hotels and Resorts. Work included gut renovation of interiors to modern office space and restoration of facades as well as redevelopment of exit ways to expand the dining room for the Staye Deli in the adjacent building.

ABP Headquarters Plaza Mixed-use Development

ABP (Advanced Business Park) is a pioneering real estate project focused on large scale spec office in Beijing. ABP Headquarters Plaza is the center piece of this vast development which takes up about 65 hectares and total building area of 1,400,000 square meters. There are two office towers, four condo towers and a 3-story retail skirt that connects the two office towers together.

SaaN’s design uses oval shape towers as the basic floor plate for all six towers and fanned out two office towers and four condo towers along a central axis. Central green space is created as open park be- tween offices and condos, and entrances are formed along main axis and from surrounding streets. Retail shops at the office towers have arcade and a 4-story atrium in the middle. Four condo towers have dedicated elevators that bring residents directly inside luxury units at the top six levels.

Hohhot CBD

A local development company, with King Deer, a national fashion company as their partner, has been selected to develop the first iconic commercial project in the newly relocated Central Business District (CBD) of Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. A design concept using faceted “crystals” was developed to reflect the local climate and the new economic culture related to coal and mineral resources. The project will be 4 million square feet and includes office buildings, a regional shopping/ entertainment mall, a 5 Star Hotel and Conference Center, 3 luxury residential towers and 3 levels of underground parking. The project is currently in the approval phase and is scheduled to start construction in the summer of 2012.

Groupe Actimo was a major European real estate investment/development company working primarily in France, Spain, and Germany. They built the Athletics housing for the Barcelona Olympics which was later converted into luxury condominiums. They purchased a historic building at 17 Rue Dumort d’ Uruville in Paris and working with Javier De’ Olaso of Madrid we converted it to a modern cooperate office space. Significant design features were the development of central atriums and skylights to bring natural light into an exceptionally deep building and enhance the work space.
