800 Union Street Broadway involved the remediation and recertification of a 272 car valet parking facility. This project involved zoning confirmation, permit renewal and extensive renovation of finishes, structural remediation and replacement deteriorated conditions. WQB also developed a specific maintenance program for the facility.

Interactive Development Associates (IDA) worked with Project Find on the inclusionary development rights for The Woodstock Hotel in Times Square.
The Kailuan Mining Bureau was the administrative center for mining related activities at the Port of Tianjin’s British Concession. As a significantly unique Western building it became famous as a seat of activity of business, diplomatic and social events – Herbert Hoover was married there prior to his presidency. As part of their Bond Street streetscape, retail development project, Crown Acquisitions, arranged for Saks Fifth Avenue to redevelop the building as a luxury department store and the anchor for the Bond Street Shopping District. WQB Architecture PLLC/ Citiarc arranged for the lease for Crown and will be the architects for the restoration of the building.
WQB Architecture provided zoning analysis and schematic design proposals for reconstruction of an existing church and addition of six floor of residential above in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
Binjiang Digital City
Binjiang Digital City was the first of a series of mixed use developments in the new (2000) “River District” of Hangzhou. The project consists of 1100 residential condominiums with 500,000sf of commercial space. The commercial space is divided into 2 structures which are connected: a low rise office building (5 floors) of about 200,000sf and a 22 story commercial tower of about 300,000sf. Although built as a multi-purpose office building the tower has been converted to a 4 star hotel. Both buildings have retail space on the first floor, and function as the entrance to the residential plaza behind them.
WQB Architecture provided zoning and New York City landmark consulting for the Philp A Ruth & Sons real estate organization. WQB designed a rooftop addition which included three luxury condominiums and obtained an approval for the construction for the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission.
The Legation Quarter is one of the most famous historic enclaves in Beijing, site of the former Qing-dynasty era American Consulate, and site of numerous international and diplomatic negotiations as China reconnected with the rest of the world. In 2005, the site was purchased by an investment group for conversion to a major luxury dining, shopping and entertainment destination. Interactive Development Associates, on behalf of Mandarin Ventures, funded the first one million dollars of outside capital required for restoration and adaptable reuse of the existing quadrangle as a destination entertainment complex.
WQB redesigned an existing public plaza at the corner of 93rd St. and First Avenue, owned and managed by the condo board of the adjacent building. The firm worked with the co-op board and City Planning Commission to reinterpret a 1986 plaza design under city planning’s revised plaza regulations. With the goal of creating a safe, flexible and sustainable space for the entire community, WQB cooperated with the Community Board and the local police precinct on incorporating best safety practices. The project was granted a state and city NYSERDA green roof tax abatement for providing a sustainable environ.
10 West 48th Street involved the remediation and recertification of a 250 car valet parking facility. It is a ramp accessed facility. The project included a full review of zoning code compliance, recertification and remediation of deck surfaces, structural replacement and repair of finishes.
